At Caroline Curran Design, we’re proud to support Small Business Saturday, which will be held this week on 5th December 2015.
Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots campaign created to support, promote and inspire small businesses. During last year’s event, 16.5 million people shopped in a small business (up 20% from the year before. Consumer awareness of the campaign was a fantastic 64% – which will hopefully be bettered this year.
There are loads of ways to support local this Saturday and beyond. Christmas shopping at local independent shops is obviously a great way to keep money within our community. Bath makes this easy with an outstanding range of independent retailers from artisan food shops and local clothing designers to innovative crafts and cutting-edge art. Businesses are also offering special discounts, events and promotions on Saturday to encourage more people to participate. You can also support the campaign by writing to your local MP (currently 55 MPs are backing the initiative), following on social media, and pledging your continued support of local shops and services.
As a local independent business based in Bath, we understand the importance for local shops and service providers to provide a personal, knowledgeable service and to be a part of the local community. We have designed logos for many local businesses and provided graphic design work from leaflets to large format outdoor signage. We’ve worked with fantastic local charities such as the Genesis Trust, as well as various other local independent small businesses.
