Souper November Charity Graphic Design
- Date 19 November 2015
This month, Bath-based charity, The Genesis Trust, is holding Souper November to raise funds for the vital services they provide to the vulnerable members of the local community.
To participate in Souper November, you just need to make soup and invite friends, colleagues or family to share it with you in return for a donation to the Genesis Trust. To help with recipes, leading local chefs Rachel Demuth from Demuth’s Vegetarian Cookery School, Chris Staines from the Allium Brasserie and Rob Clayton from Clayton’s Kitchen have a selection of warming autumnal soup recipes for you to try.
The Genesis Trust supports vulnerable people in Bath to overcome poverty and hardship and take positive steps forward in their lives, through campaigns such as the Furniture Project, providing essential household items to those in need, to the Sunday Centre, serving an affordable lunch and providing shelter and companionship.
Souper November was inspired by the Genesis Trust’s longest running project: the nightly Soup Run. For 25 years, volunteers from 15 Bath churches have provided soup, sandwiches and hot drinks for at least 30 people in the car park next to the Hilton Hotel on Walcot Street, every night (even Christmas), serving 11,800 portions of soup in 2014.
Caroline Curran Design created the logo for Souper November and designed a number of large format advertising materials for the Genesis Trust charity, Bath. Caroline Curran also designed Souper November invitations and posters that you can download from the Genesis Trust.
